Calamity is a 2D top-down online RPG that blends classic MMORPG gameplay with Web3 technology. Players grow their characters as adventurers in a fantasy world, exploring dungeons, defeating monsters, collecting gear, and participating in guild activities.
Key features include a flexible combat system where playstyles change based on weapon selection, and a player-driven economy powered by blockchain. Players obtain rare gear and items through combat and quests, which they can own and trade as NFTs. The in-game marketplace enables item trading, and a Play-to-Earn element rewards tokens for gameplay.
